No discussion of muscle and cartilage would be complete without inclusion of ligaments, tendon and bones all of which are ‘connective tissues’.
Cartilage, ligaments and tendon are distinctly different than muscles, skin and gums because they do not have their own blood supply. These tissues are serviced by the lymphatic system and the tissues surrounding them that do have their own blood supply.
Please keep the blood supply issue in mind when recognizing that cartilage, tendon and ligaments require a lot more time and patience for them regenerate; meaning, as you age or post trauma or surgery, far more effort is required to see the regeneration and transformation of damaged tissues.
Cartilage, ligaments and tendon require a steady supply of biogenic proteins, sulphur, and bio-active collagen compounds to completely heal and avoid formation of scar tissue.
Deterioration of connective tissues is confirmation of failure to regenerate healthy, new tissue to replace old, damaged tissues. Buildup of acidic cellular waste has a ‘corrosive’ effect on all of the joints and connective tissues, particularly the tissues of the feet which are notorious for becoming deformed and breaking down as people age.
Aging feet and hands, including carpel tunnel problems, is confirmation of a very acidic and very inflamed body terrain. Be sure and review the Tissue & Liver Protocol regarding release of acid waste and safe transport of them out of the body and down the toilet.
Regeneration of is equally representative of aging reversal and the body will cooperate if you rid your body of toxic waste and break down accumulated scar tissue and amyloid plaque.
In order to regenerate, all vital organs and systems of the body must be functioning properly and raw materials must be available for the body to construct new tissues.
Raw materials include proteins broken down into their constituent amino acid building blocks and large amounts of dietary fats because fats can provide up to 80% of the body’s total energy needs. Without enough available energy, the process cannot go to completion.
Fat consumption demands the availability of bio-active bile to get the fat to the liver for processing into energy and hormones. Proteins require a highly acidic stomach environment without which proteins turn ‘rogue’ and trigger the Autoimmune Attack Cycle.
Sleep, that is, deep sleep and lots of it are when the body grows and repairs itself. The older people grow, the less sleep they get because their bodies become systemically inflamed.
Factors controlling connective tissue formation are: diet, digestion, sleep, blood and lymph circulation, bowel activity, exercise, water consumption, sweets, alcohol and fruit, liver function and management of stress and anxiety.
This protocol varies according to the individual.
